My husband goes through at least three sets of clothes a day. His work clothes. His lounge around the house after work clothes. His sleep clothes. He also uses at least one towel each day. Then add the two kids and mount laundry is born. I usually do one load a day but never seem to catch up. I'm also really bad about putting it away . . .

I like the daily chore list. I've had to stop checking my email - anything to keep my eyes off the "just one more follower" or "why can't my stats spike that that again?" and keep them on Christ. I fail miserably at times, but thankfully He is the King of Grace! I know that He is working through me and that there are people who are not Christians who read daily who are having seeds planted. I honestly believe that had I not had a midwife during his birth, I probably would have had a c-section...just based on the experience of a few women I know who had an OB attending their births. They really don't like to wait around! I appreciate you sharing your experience as well. I'll keep that book in mind too, as I'm always looking for something to recommend to fellow believers to help them have a positive birth experience.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17984317175966495986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2815779928391803078.post-4922190417535677212011-02-03T14:35:35.749-07:002011-02-03T14:35:35.749-07:00Hi Becky, I can testify to overcoming 3 years of u...Hi Becky, I can testify to overcoming 3 years of unexplained infertility through prayer and standing on God's Word. I also had a fairly traumatic first birth with about a 4 hour second stage labour and ventouse delivery. I really prayed into the second pregnancy and prayed for a good delivery - it was perfect. About 3 minutes of second stage labour and my daughter was born calmly in water. God was good. I found the book 'The Christian Childbirth Handbook' by Jennifer Vanderlaan (available from Amazon) very helpful. I found whenever I was really congested it was hard to use the neti pot initially, but if I kept at it for a little bit it would help. Do you use a humidifier? Also I found an eye pillow thing filled with rice that I could heat up in the microwave, and place it over my sinus area and it would really help too. Guess you could just use a sock filled with rice (dry of course) too. Put it in the microwave for 45 seconds- a minute or so. I think a neti pot is most beneficial used everyday. Hope you feel better soon!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17984317175966495986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2815779928391803078.post-64151180025316713542010-12-24T15:41:46.869-07:002010-12-24T15:41:46.869-07:00Hmm... But I guess, looking back, I will say that it exposed some weak areas in our relationship, but ultimately strengthened us because we became aware of some big issues from the start. I guess we kinda "hit the ground running" though :). Mariposa, I like what you said about God opening and closing the womb as he sees fit. So true...as reproduction is not merely an act of our will anyway!

I do think that agreement between the husband and wife is extremely important in this area though.

I always have to remind myself that as I delight myself in the Lord, He will give me the desires of my heart (and sometimes the ones I don't necessarily admit to having!)
