Got Happiness?

The biggest purpose of my blog is to tell you this (if you don't already know): God loves you and sent His Son Jesus Christ to this world to die for your sins and bridge the gap between you and Him (For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life- John 3:16). But friends, He rose again...in triumph over all pain, sickness, and suffering in this world.

I don't know how you ended up on my blog...who you are...what you believe...any of that.  But I don't think it's an accident that you ended up here.  You can navigate away from this page...or read on.

The Bible tells us that Jesus came to give us life...and that life more abundantly (John 10:10).  I'm not saying if you receive Jesus as your Savior that all your problems will disappear, and all your needs will be instantly met, but I know from personal experience that God will instantly come into your heart and fill you with such peace.  Not much will happen on the outside (or maybe it will), but I believe that you will know a fullness in your soul that you've never felt before.  God will come and heal all the broken parts, the past hurts, the emptiness, that missing "something" in your heart.  Really, you don't have to feel anything.  But something will happen.

You must take the next step though.  One thing the Bible says about salvation "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”  (Romans 10:8-11)  Basically that means if you believe what I've just shared with you (that Jesus died for our sins, and rose from the dead) and you say it out loud (and mean it!) that you will be saved.  You will be restored to right relationship with God.  It's that easy.  If you aren't sure what to say, you can pray the prayer written below.  Don't be shy.  God wants to hear from you.

Pray this prayer:  "God, I ask that you would come into my heart today.  I know I have sinned, I ask Your forgiveness today.  I believe that you sent Your Son Jesus to die for my sins.  I believe You raised Him from the dead on the third day.  Lord, I ask that you would help me to live out the rest of my days in service to You.  I receive forgiveness from You today.  Thank You for loving me...in Jesus Name...Amen"

What next?  Well, tell somebody about it!  Leave a comment...send me an email.  I would love to hear about your decision.  Here are a few other things to do: get a Bible.  It is of utmost importance that you learn what the Word of God says.  Here's a link to the Bible online.  Next, it would be extremely beneficial for you to find a local Bible-believing group of people (a church!) and let them know about your decision.  They can help you grow in your walk with God.  Then, pray to God...everyday!  Praying is just talking to God.  Tell Him whatever you think or feel.  Then trust Him with everything you do!
